Thank you for visiting our website. We would like to thank everyone who took part in our extensive public consultations over the last year to redevelop the northern part of the Albert Road Gasworks. Following a detailed review of all the feedback that was received from the public and stakeholders during all three rounds of consultation, Berkeley has now submitted a planning application to Barnet Council.
To view all the documents submitted as part of the planning application, you can search application reference 25/4390/FUL on the planning portal here.
The Site
The site is situated 10 minutes’ walk from New Barnet Station and sits to the north of the Park Quarter development, a 420 unit apartment scheme currently under construction by Fairview.
The northern part of the site, owned by Berkeley, is located close to the traditional residential streets of Westbrook Crescent, Lawton Road, Hertford Road, Hertford Close, and Armstrong Crescent. Further to the north is the Jewish Community Secondary School.
The site is constrained by the two areas marked in yellow on the location map. These yellow areas are occupied by infrastructure crucial to the local gas network and must be free of any development.
The site is allocated in the newly adopted Barnet Local Plan for circa 200 homes, which assumes an apartment-led development.
